I have found a piece of 6mm cord about 300mmm long with a ball attached tied to the last halyard tie point on the spinnaker. Can anyone enlighten me as to what that would be for? Cheers Rob

This is just a guess;

Perhaps you tie the end of the haylard to the end of the cord with the ball (parrel bead?). This may stop the head of the spinnaker from being pulled too far into the sock. i.e. it creates a 300mm spacer between the tie off point and the next patch on the spinnaker.
