Windrush 14 Sailing on Yorke Peninsula SA

5 posts in this topic

Hi all,

Thought I'd post a few vids from the last few days of sailing.

Starting to get the hang of it now I've had it or 5-6 times.

Ive got crew onboard in these vids and we were way over weight (generally around 180 - 220kgs total crew weight)

Nice! Where on Yorke Peninsula are you? I'm over on Eyre Peninsula at the moments and regretting not bringing the boat

good way to test your boat to make sure nothing is going to break loading it up with crew & a good wind.  If it survives that you know everything is OK. Nice work.

Was at Hardwicke Bay in the shorter vid, then Stansbury in the other.

Managed to get rid of the crew for 30mins and take it out myself, unfortunately didn't have the trapeze set up but with my 95kgs could sail pretty hard leaning right out while flying the hull. It was moving!!

Here is one more vid. Check out how calm the water is but with a decent breeze blowing. I almost had my leeward hull go under at the start and i couldn't tell from all the spray coming off it!!
