Polishing the rough tread area on deck

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good way to get some sort of polish or coating onto the rough tread part of the fibreglass thats on beach cat decks.

Always gets hammered by the sun and soaks up stains because it gets porous from lack of polish or preservation.

I tried a buffer but it just gunked up on the rough parts.

Any ideas?

You do realise there is no such product as "Ronstan Gel Coat Protector" do you perhaps mean the polish?

Whatever,   something like this - https://www.element119.com/marine.html  mine came from Bias and is in an aluminium canister, it is quite thin and you just wipe it on then rub off.  I found it's a little like PolyGlow in the low amount of effort you need to do the job.  I'll look at the bottle at the weekend, must be from someone else.

I have used a (soft) nail brush in the past for applying a solid paste wax and then placing a rag over it for polishing off , seemed to work !
